My baby Julia just turned one. Oh my goodness! I am in awe of her. I get very wistful of all of her milestones. I hope I'm not too corny. But she started taking her first steps, she is eating real table food, she has 8 teeth now. She is about 20 pounds. She has a full head of hair. All of these things, I am just marveling at. She is such a miracle! She is a happy baby too. Her only flaw, in our eyes, is that she doesn't sleep through the night. But honestly, I enjoy seeing her in the middle of the night. It's kind of a nice bonding time. But to not have slept through the night in over a year, yeah. I hope it's around the corner soon.....
In terms of my health, I got more bloodwork recently. I was borderline low for iron, low blood sugar. And some thing showed in my blood for a possible drug allergy??
I went back to the neurologist, and he has now referred me to a Neuroscience Institute. I was stunned. But I guess it makes sense. If my symtoms were obvious, they would have figured it out by now. My symptoms are this:
.Numbness and tingling in all fingers
.Numbness and tingling in toes
.Itchiness under the skin on the back of my head
.Tingling and overall muscle hypersensitivity in legs, arms, vaginal area, roof of mouth and tongue
My liver enzymes are normal. My brain MRI is normal, as is my back. I am not taking any drugs and haven't in a full year.
The drugs that I was taking were:
.Prednisone for 6 weeks postpartum, on a 30 day taper, and one full week before the taper for the PUPPPS Rash
.Labetalol for the high blood pressure postpartum (the height of it was 160/110) for 2months
.Terbutaline as a shot in the leg to stop preterm labor at 25.5 weeks gestation and 3times between 26-37 weeks intravenously. Taken orally 5mg daily from 30-36 weeks pregnant, as prescribed by my OBGYN for constant contractions.

I have since learned that all of these symptoms were linked to an underlying, but undiagnosed/misdiagnosed Celiac Disease. There is no cure but to stop eating gluten! A miracle:)) I consider myself very blessed...
